My skillset includes phone work, customer/vendor interaction as well as the ability to multitask and learn things quickly. My typing speed is 70 wpm. My ten-key speed is 1,200 kph (alphanumeric), and I have above-average skills in Microsoft Office. I have experience in supporting marketing, sales, engineering, operations, inventory control and purchasing departments. I also have excellent organizational and communication skills. I am currently self-employed as an independent contractor with three years of transcription experience, transcribing conference calls, interviews, quarterly financial calls, board meetings, medical reports, general transcription, police interviews, court cases, 911 calls and criminal investigation audio. I am also familiar with and am comfortable doing multispeaker and accented transcription. I have a complete home office setup, including a scanner, computer, shredder and foot pedal with a headset. All of my equipment are current and up to date, and the transcription programs I use are ExpressScribe, StartStop, FTR and Inqscribe.
