Appraisal reason
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have 35 years of experience in appraisals and advice for personal property. Estate - Insurance - Sale - Distribution - Inventory I began doing appraisals and conducting auctions in the mid-1970's at Hanzel Galleries in Chicago and joined forces with Butterfield, now part of the international auction house Bonham's, in the late 1990's. Now an independent appraiser, in addition to providing appraisals and advice about personal property fine art, furniture, silver, porcelain, books and other collections, I am also involved in benefit auctions and other charitable work. My fee is based on the complexity of the situation and from my experience and skills, I am recognized as both efficient and accurate. The normal rate is $150 - $300 per hour. Large and custom projects are negotiable. All inspections and appraisals are confidential. Please contact me for an in-depth review of your situation.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for the depth of experience you need. Sometimes this means a wide area of knowledge, but if you need to sell your Rembrandt you should be referred to the few people in the world whose opinion is accepted. Honest appraisers can't claim to know everything about everything.
