I got the help of Besserman Law Office after months of not getting any help from my first lawyer. My first lawyer quit on me at the last-minute right before trial which had been sat for about a month before. I my search began by reading many reviews. Then I had few consultations with few other attorneys and felt like this Law office, Besserman Law office, was right for me. Right away I could see that I made the right choice. She had an uphill fight on her hands and she was more than up to the challenge. Her office was a little farther for me to drive which I didn’t like at first but after seeing her at work I would have driven a lot farther for this kind of help. She worked relentlessly to get caught up and to try and turn things around. Within no time, she was caught up and helping me answer questions I had had from the start. She would even email me late into the night if she told me she would. This was a good change from my last lawyer who would make me wait sometimes weeks to get an answer only to answer me vaguely. It was night and day from what I had before. She started getting results fast. She was always a straight shooter with me and never sugarcoated things. She always kept me involved in what she and I needed to do to move things ahead. Mostly she always made sure I understood what was going on since this was my first time in court was this case. She quickly paid off for me by not making me show up for court just to be seated outside of the courtroom, which was not good me leaving out of state. In the end, she ended a 1 year battle in about 2 months of her working on it. In doing so she went above and beyond what I expected. She never backed down even with the odds against her. Most importantly she tried to put the kids in this case first and not her pocket book. Doing things in the fastest way she could and in the best quality she could. Finally, she will always come highly recommended by me and people in my family that had to hear my stories. I can only hope that she will always be my go-to lawyer if I ever need to go back for anything else. I am truly grateful for all she has done for me and I could not have wished for a better lawyer. I only wish I could put into words better how grateful I am for her help and her patience with me.

Ms. Besserman represented me in a family law case that was very messy. I provide free consultation for personal injury and worker's compensation cases and $75.00 1/2 hour consultation for hourly fee cases.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I participate in more than the required continuing legal education credits to ensure I am up-to-date on the law to best represent my clients in both Illinois and Missouri.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began in the legal field as a secretary, obtained my Bachelor's Degree while raising my children and became a paralegal. Then decided to go to law school and became a lawyer. As a result, I am down to earth and believe all people are equal, just skilled in different areas. I love being a lawyer and helping people.
