FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Website design and re-design. Some site maintenance. My clients have ranged from large corporations to non-profit agencies to bands.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they are not outsourcing! I'm based in the US, English is my native tongue and when my clients have a question they reach me not some kid that's half-way around the world. I understand how the end user thinks in the US and when it comes to design, I understand the North American mindset. Another thing is cost. If someone is offering a website for what is 1/10th of the cost of others, will they also be giving it only 1/10th of the attention it deserves? Your website is your 24/7 storefront and it should be respected as such.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That it's not "Turn on computer, type for a few minutes and out comes a website". That's the movies. There's a lot of time spent on the code that makes it work, there's psychology used in the design and layout of the site and while you may not see those things on the surface, they are very important.
