Introduction: I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with a master's degree in counseling psychology. I also have a nursing background as a registered nurse and have worked as a therapist for 15 years. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, couples and family systems' therapy, and positive psychology. My therapeutic approach is tailored to each couple or individual. The rock-solid basis of any counseling is a relationship of trust and understanding between the therapist and client. I believe in the value of listening and understanding as a way to assist clients in coming to solutions that support each individual's goals and values. I sincerely admire my clients' courage and determination as demonstrated by their decision to seek out counseling in order to resolve their challenges.
