Paul did a great job with our product photos. Overall I was very pleased with his knowledge, quality of work and his expertise. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for photography work.Aug 11, 2017Verified
I work for a small manufacturing company and we had some equipment that we needed to be photographed. Paul came in and took care of photographing several of our machines. The machines are large and have multiple parts and Paul was able to photograph them very well. Throughout the process Paul was attentive and professional and we look forward to working with him again in the future!Aug 8, 2016Verified
Paul Kurek from Out_A_Site Images provided me exactly what I was in need of, he was very good at instruction, which included hands on work that helped in the instruction. I recommend his services to any with need to learn about photography.May 20, 2018Verified
As I was new to photography I had very little knowledge as to what a photo can say and I am really glad I had the opportunity to learn from Paul. He taught me how to pay attention to details in a subject and compose a good photo. He is a very patient, knowledgeable and a professional trainer I have come across and really enjoyed learning. He was always very well prepared for each session and every session had a great value. I highly recommend him and continue to look forward to learn more from him.Aug 12, 2017Verified
Paul is very knowledgeable about photography and I am learning a great deal from him. He is very patient, and a good teacher. He not only is helping me learn photography, but is also teaching me how to get the most out of my camera. His rates are very reasonable vs. the other quotes I got from thumbtack and I am certainly getting a lot for the money. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to learn photography.Aug 12, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer photography by the hour or by the job. Pricing differs depending on what the job is. A commercial photography job will be different than architecture or portraiture because there are many different aspects that need to be addressed. More work needs to be performed in certain photo jobs than others and hence the pricing differs. There are many methods one can use to photograph a product or service and your budget dictates which of these methods are used. This is where communication is vital in planning photography and why I offer a free consultation. I would be happy to chat with you about your next photo job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The most important ingredient is to listen. So when a new customer contacts me or is interested in hiring me, the first item is to find out what is important to the client to achieve. We then schedule a free visit where the client and I plan their photography so there are no surprises. During this free consultation we plan everything from clothing, props and backgrounds for portraiture clients. The same goes for our other services like commercial, architectural and product photography where we work together to plan out what product and or services need to be photographed and the best angles that need to be captured for their advertising and website usage. Special considerations are communicated like unique facial features, time deadlines or what products or services need to be prioritized to achieve a client's goals. Once the images have been taken they are uploaded to a secure website for approval. Further work on the images can be made at this time to tailor them to specific client requirements. Final images are downloaded from the secure website to the client directly without the need for additional visits.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My training has been through the PPA, Winona School of Professional Photography. In addition every year I both take and conduct workshops and invest in education to keep my photography fresh and current. On the job training at several commercial studios also adds to my abilities that you can benefit from.
