Timothy Curran

Introduction: Timothy Curran doesn't just play the piano and sing — the instrument becomes an extension of him and he pours his own emotions into the music. Timothy spent his young years in Elmhurst and Downers Grove. Often after school he would throw down his book bag and pound out his day on the black and white keys. With the very least a guitar and harmonica in tow, he later travelled to and lived in other parts of the country. Meeting artists and musicians along the way, he embraced the music and culture of New Orleans, the big sky of Montana, Red Rocks of Arizona, and the beautiful California coast. His wandering soul, love for music, and adventerous heart didn’t stop there... Timothy went on to play abroad during his three year stint in Germany; playing Berlin, London, and Amsterdam. As if that wasn’t enough, he accepted employment with Carnival Cruise Lines as a Piano Bar Entertainer; sailing the ocean blue, and visiting dozens of Tropical Ports. Each of these life experiences added to the tapestry of Timothy and brought more depth to his performance. Currently Tim is back in the western suburbs, and shares with us his own stylized piano versions of favorites from Coldplay, Elton John, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Grateful Dead, The Fray and many more of your favorite modern, classic rock, and blues artists.
