Introduction: "Quality in Performance, Dedication, Achievement, and Excellence" -- These are the tenets of Christopher K. Taylor's riding and training philosophy that resulted from his studies with some of the world's most prominent American and European dressage experts. Chris is passionately committed to classical training, always striving for lightness, balance and harmony with a unique instructional style for both the horse and the rider. He asks a little at a time and praises often. The result has been happy, highly motivated horses and riders who can focus, as partners, on learning their art. Chris stresses "basics, basics, basics" and small incremental steps. He has observed that when horses derail in dressage, even at the highest levels, it is usually because the basic foundation has been ignored. He strongly believes that regardless of the discipline, any horse and rider will reap the benefits from dressage. This philosophy has proven its value for both Chris and his students. Chris has competed internationally at the FEI Grand Prix levels, has been FEI Champion in Prix St. Georges, and was selected to represent Bermuda at the 1999 Pan American Games. Lessons are offered from beginner through FEI. Chris also has regularly scheduled buying trips to Europe which clients can attend. All that is needed is a passport and a plane ticket. Lodging and transportation are provided.
