TeK Heroes

Introduction: At TeK Heroes, our goal is to provide a full-service electronics and software service and educational company. We fix, create and modify electronics and software. We also teach you to create electronic and software devices through our kits and parts offered on the website (coming soon! the website is being redeveloped around this goal). We won't list what types of electronics we specialize in fixing or building because we fix and build electronics and software at its core. What this means is that, when you understand electronics and electrical engineering, all electronic devices are fundamentally the same and therefore specialization is unnecessary. In the repair business, specialization is popular because other companies use repair techniques handed down from the companies that create the products or that they find on the internet. This can be advantageous when a common problem is encountered because you would receive a fast and cheap service. But the drawback is that, the exotic problems will either not be fixable or will cost you an arm and a leg with varied results. We at TeK Heroes have advanced degrees and extensive experience building electronics, and therefore we fix electronics from an electrical engineering point of view. Because of this, we can give you an assessment up front for the repair you will need, and if we can't do it cheaper than the people that specialize, we will refer you to someone that can! We also build custom software and modify existing software to meet your needs. Some examples of work we have done may help you to see what is possible: * Zune to iPod conversion device. This device converted iPod commands to Zune commands in order to allow an iPod based docking station to control a Zune MP3 player. * Interfacing modern software packages to antiquated industrial CNC machines. * Created interfaces between electronic devices. We have built many cables that interface between electronic devices. * Custom software packages to track business or personal data. E.g. Tracking tardiness at an elementary school, tracking small business data, and tracking of spare parts for different products. Hopefully this gives you an idea of some of the things we can do.
