Introduction: We bring the craft back into traditional Midwest specialties and are dedicated to using only fresh and locally sourced (when available) produce and meats in everything we do. The only thing frozen on our menus is the ice cream and we haven't seen our can opener for a few years.
We can handle anything from small parties all the way to large family reunion BBQs. We have access to the Steeple Gallery, a very unique facility for small parties )up to 40 people) here in Monticello.
We are proud to include the Monticello Chamber of Commerce, Horizon Hobby LLC., Caroline Goldsmith - artist, and Eli Field RC Park as our largest customers.

Because I married into a Cajun family, I was asked to be a taste-tester for Jambalaya that Prairieland Catering had prepared for a wedding. This dish was incredibly good. It had a great blend of fresh shrimp and different meats, the true Cajun style in which this dish is served. I was impressed at the level of quality of this dish and would highly recommend Prairieland Catering.

Pete and his staff prepared a wonderful brunch for the graduating seniors of our sorority. The table set-up was beautiful, the food was excellent and the staff was very professional. My favorite was the french toast! Pete was very easy to work with and helped me stay within my budget. I would use Prairieland Catering again in a heartbeat.

I wanted to hire Prairieland catering for an upcoming party. Unfortunately, my party had to be cancelled before I even got started. However....when I needed to find a caterer right away, I got an immediate response. I so appreciated the quick response. If my party goes on as planned, I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM!
