Introduction: Every therapist brings certain experiences and knowledge with them, that's what makes us all so different. As I continue to practice, I continue to seek out techniques to use with evidence based-outcomes. What does that mean? I like to see what modalities are helpful in promoting the body to heal itself, reduces pain, and has a significant amount of success. There will always be new things to consider as research in massage therapy grows. The more tools a therapist has to use, will likely show a stronger success of treating a variety of issues and helping client's to reach their goals. I love helping people feel better and helping to improve my client's quality of life. It feels good when one can participate in their favorite activity. It feels great to keep your independence. It also, feels great when you can improve your involvement with your activity (i.e. running, racing, quilting, playing music, or computer gaming). It's the most rewarding job when people leave feeling better.

There are many massage therapists coming up in surrounding communities. Illinois Massage Therapists are Licensed and have a National Certification. Most of all when looking for a therapist, find one that will listen to your goals or needs, who appreciates feedback, and you feel comfortable working with. You may also want to consider finding a therapist that will offer a modality that you prefer. Or you may want someone that knows a variety of techniques that will address your goals.
