Introduction: Our service stands out because we are able to custom tailor our assistance to exactly what you need. If you have the plan in place and need someone to help execute it on the day of, we can do that. If you are unsure about some details and want someone to help finalize them and take the lead on the day of the wedding, that is one of our specialties. If you find that you just aren't sure where to start though, we can help through the entire process. We will take the time to learn about your event and the assistance you need so that you can focus on what's really important the day of your wedding - celebrating your love and starting your new lives together! We love learning about you and what makes your connection unique. Blanchard Special Events started when I was spending time with my mother-in-law. We loved watching the wedding shows and she encouraged me to start my business. After I did, we still discussed weddings, but the fun thing was that I was able to discuss the weddings I had the honor of coordinating! Now, each time we get to work with a couple, we spend time finding out what makes your relationship unique and work with you to bring that to life!

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Heidi from Blanchard Events. She was extremely responsive and available throughout the planning period leading up to our early April wedding. She had GREAT ideas to make our wedding unique and special. Heidi went ABOVE AND BEYOND to take the pressure off of us and keep the planning moving forward at a good pace. If you follow her advice, you will have a much easier time keeping all the balls in the air and be able to relax and enjoy your special day. Heidi is very professional, kind and thoughtful as well. As we are all busy people, including Heidi, be sure to have a good list of "to do" or "to discuss" items for each conference call and by the time your wedding or event day comes - you will be ready! Be sure to have her there both on the wedding day AND to help you with the planning. It is well worth the money for both day of and planning! Thank you Heidi for helping to make our day perfect.

Our planner, Heidi, was an answer to my prayers. I relied heavily on reviews when looking for wedding vendors and I specifically remember being really impressed by her reviews.   We had a traditional cultural ceremony followed by a modern ceremony. The traditional ceremony started at 9:30 AM and we had a three-hour break in the middle of the day to get ready for the white wedding ceremony. It was quite a long day but after God, I really felt like Heidi was the glue that held it all together.   At first, there were some well-meaning people who suggested that I go with a planner who was of the same cultural background who would “understand" our culture. I had discussions with about three other planners, but the vibe just wasn’t there. When I first reached out to Heidi, I immediately appreciated her professionalism and her quick response to messages and emails.   This planning process for our wedding day would have been challenging for any planner but Heidi handled with so much positivity. I remember that she would always offer to do things for me that I planned to do on my own. Initially, I would say that I could handle it because I tend to have slight trust issues so it’s hard for me to hand things over to someone else. But Heidi quickly proved that she was trustworthy and up to the task. When the planning process got more complicated, I gladly handed things over to her and I was very happy to have her around. Heidi had an answer for every question and if she didn’t have the answer, she found it. I also work nights and I really appreciated her flexibility in working with the inconsistencies in my schedule.   Our wedding venue was about an hour and a half away from home. When we got there the night before, I realized that I forgot my comfortable shoes at home. As soon as Heidi found out, she rushed to Walmart and found me a comfortable pair of shoes. I would have been miserable without those shoes. When my bustle broke less than 10 minutes before our choreographed first dance, Heidi was right there with safety pins to save the day. Our first dance would have been a disaster without her quick intervention. Heidi knew I wasn’t a fan of the cake provided by the venue, but I didn’t want to spend more money on a cake from an outside bakery. She found out my favorite cake and just imagine my amazement when she surprised my husband and I with a small cake during our reception.   Heidi is culturally competent and has a high level of emotional intelligence. She was really good about helping me stay calm and was able to deal well with difficult personalities. She was excited about planning our event. That, ladies and gentlemen, is THE KEY: find someone who is excited to work with you. Someone who is not just doing this because it’s a job. Heidi enjoys event planning and that makes all the difference. Not only is she very affordable, I guarantee you that she will help you save money. I am still getting comments from family members and friends about how about how helpful and resourceful Heidi was. I’m so thankful that I went with Blanchard Special Events. They made our big day a huge success. They watch out for every detail they will truly look out for your best interests. Long story short guys, if you are looking for an awesome wedding planner, your search stops here!  Go with Blanchard Special Events and they will make your big day amazing

Heidi and her team were fantastic help on our wedding day. They made sure all of our decor was transferred from the vendor to the venue and set up exactly as planned! They were helpful throughout the evening and even bustled my dress for me. :) I’d definitely recommend their services!

Amazing job done from beginning to end. My wedding and the whole process of putting it together was done so beautifully because Heidi helped me. I did not worry on the day of my wedding because she had it covered. If you need help planning and executing an event Heidi is the way to go

Heidi was amazing! She was very communicative through out our entire wedding planning process and made our wedding look fantastic. My wife is very particular and often has a tough time letting go of projects because she's afraid things won't turn out as well if she doesn't do it herself. Heidi helped ease her fears by working closely with her to understand her vision for our event and took total control of the day. She assisted with several parts of our wedding including, setting up tables, configuring decor, coordinating with vendors, and keeping our wedding schedule on track. I highly recommend Heidi!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I like to get to know each of our couples individually so we are happy to schedule a call or face to face meeting before you make a decision. When you decide to work with us, we arrange an initial planning meeting and then design a countdown schedule and checklist that takes us through the wedding day.
