I have hired this company for two separate drywall projects. The first job was reasonably priced ($1800 to replace all drywall in a bathroom), completed on time, and the quality of work met expectations. Unfortunately, my experience with the second project was very different. I paid $6700 plus a $200 processing fee for two bedrooms with full replacement of two exterior walls in each room and 3ft up for the interior walls and closet and their work provided didn't match the premium price charged. The second job resulted in multiple quality issues, including unsanded seams, uneven walls with approximately 3/8”–3/4” variance from top to bottom, mud left on the ceiling, knife marks on areas where no work was performed, unfilled air bubble holes after sanding, and texture that did not match the existing finish in the closets. Additionally, the trim around windows and doors—which was intended to be reused—was damaged. Even though all the trim was damaged, they reinstalled it, creating more work for the next contractor I have to hire to fix their mistakes. This is one area where communication would have been helpful to prevent any further issues. When these concerns were raised, the contractor was only willing to correct part of the work and expected me to supply all materials. After I questioned why I would be responsible for materials needed to fix workmanship issues, communication stopped entirely. During the project, three new kitchen tiles were also broken, and the contractor declined responsibility for repairs because I stated that I had extra tile available. Communication became a significant issue overall, as my follow-up messages and phone calls regarding the drywall quality went unanswered. This project was an insurance claim, yet the contractor requested half of the payment upfront before insurance funds were received, despite being included in email correspondence and knowing payment was pending. A processing fee was added on the second job that was not disclosed in advance and was not included in the insurance invoice. Payment fees were also excessive—$25 per bank payment (three total payments) or $200 for credit card use. Initially, I was also expected to dispose of all removed drywall, despite this being included in the insurance estimate. The contractor ultimately agreed to haul it away after it was discussed, though unused drywall was still left behind. Overall, while the first experience was positive, the second job raised serious concerns regarding workmanship, communication, and billing transparency.
