FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always keeping up on current trends in the graphic arts fields. I follow multiple websites, such as Smashing Magazine and The Graphic Design Blog. I am always taking classes to learn new things. I found a great website, Skillshare.com, that allows you to take classes, and some are free.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been an art geek. After high school tho, I floated around and then went into health care, because I was always told art doesn't pay. I was in health care for 11 years. I woke up one day in year 6 of my health care career, and realized I HATED my job. I just hated it. I made the decision that day to go back to school, become a graphic designer, and start my own company. I haven't looked back and I regret nothing from that decision, except my student loans! HAHAHA
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have one long standing client I independently contract with. Everything I do with them is down and dirty black & white work. I love what I do, but it is easy, and a bit boring.
