FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always studying and reading and doing research online all the time. I study faux finish techniques and latest trends even though I encourage my clients to work custom and most jobs I have ever done are custom creations!.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
From a young child I have always been creative. I remember to this day thinking about and idea for a Japanese figure in my head and then asking mom for a whole roll of aluminum foil to create it. I loved the feel of the foil and how pliable it was in developing this figure of a female Japanese dancer using a picture I got out of a magazine in our house.....
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I am primarily a decorative mural and faux finish painter. This is what I love to do the most but I also performed Stone faux finishes and that is fun suing a technique I developed to create realistic stone of any kind that looks and feels real. I have also created garden sculptures and one job I did was a large American Flag with athletic figures sculpted coming out of it for a health club. But with my imagination and research I enjoy doing I can create almost anything or hire a subcontractor to assist me with a project. I did this with a sculpture once where I hired a casting company to cast some life size human sculptures out of Chavant modeling clay and I also can make one of a kind gifts.
