Introduction: I am a writing tutor and college counselor. My love of literature began early in life when I announced to my parents that I wanted to read for a living. Fast forward a few decades and I read Shakespeare at Oxford, earned my PhD in English literature, and wrote literature textbooks for a major publishing company. I love the one-on-one experience of working with students because I can see their development and growing self-confidence as they brainstorm a creative essay, define their argument in a persuasive piece, or find the right piece of research to tie their ideas together. Many of my students come to me for college counseling and enjoy working with me on their college application essays.
