What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard priceing for a weld repair job is $45 to $65 hourly rate, custom fabriccation jobs are $65 to $85 hourly rate. Art metals and production parts will be charged by the piece. All jobs will be charged $25 for consumables. Service calls will be charged $100 travel fee + labor.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with a new customer i like to provide a proto-type piece or part. This is to ensure that the customer will be satisfide with the quality of work i provide for them. Constent communication with the customer during the job time is important.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began learnig how to weld and fabricate in vocational trade school during my highschool years. After school i felt that welding/fabrication was the way i wanted to make my living. Some 20+ years later i still very much enjoy the trade.
