FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the nature, scope & details of the job - I will generally quote a lump sum for the completed work, or between $10-$15 per hour, or competitively by the square foot for tile. I may quote slightly more if I need to hire an extra hand or two to get the job accomplished quickly, or if i need to bring along another "warm body" for security purposes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to discuss the scope & nature of the task at hand to make sure I share in my customer's expectations & that all details are addressed. That way, once I get to work, I am dedicated to the job without interruption, and there are no "surprises" - clear communication and understanding make any job go smoother for the best results.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Years of gardening, landscaping & yard work experience - paid, pro bono, and of course for myself. Born with a green thumb (Grandma ran a greenhouse) & great eye for design. Learned ceramic tile installation when managing a flooring store - have installed several kitchen floors, entries, bathroom floors, tub/shower surrounds & backsplashes (my favorite!) over the past 10 years. I have also been refinishing furniture for over 20 years (also taught by Grandma).
