- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base the pricing on the type of event, what it involves, how far I would have to travel, the set up for it, and the duration of the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am on the internet all the time researching my trade and staying up on the latest music and computer software, but soon I plan to attend "The Beat Academy" in Chicago which is a formal school for DJ's.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a friend that had started DJ'ing, and when he would bring he turntables over I was just fascinated by it. So I made him start showing me what things did what and as soon as I had the basics down, I just started to learn on my own. I had a few mentors along the way that help me progress and widen my skill set though.
