FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I never stop learning the latest ways to help students learn. Brain research has taught us much about how we all learn, and the best ways to retain knowledge. I have two masters in education, and I go to any professional seminar or conference that I can. I just took a year long course on teaching math. No matter how long I've taught, there's always new things and methods to learn. It keeps me sharp and energized.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I assess what they already know, what they need to know, create a plan, and keep them on track to pass the High School Equivalency Test (GED, TASC, etc.) The most common need is math and writing the essay, but I assist my students in passing all the subjects. I also spend time teaching STRATEGIES to pass the test!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at me as your trainer or coach, listen to my recommendations, study hard, and I'll "get you there".
