Roof repair. I had some shingles blow off the house. Lewis was very helpful. Great job.
Keith and his team were prompt and professional in the removal of junk from our garage. I recommend them highly!
She was very helpful with where to buy tile and bathroom fixtures. The shower wall tile looks really sweet( that is nice). I would recommend her to others.
Quick and efficient. Cleaned up their mess and left the site looking good. Not real happy with the color of shingles as they do not match existing at all. The existing are 20+ yrs old and I understand that they are hard to match, but I do believe they could have been matched better. Once they started the removal and had it exposed I didn't feel I could stop them and request a better match. It needed to get covered. Planning on having the whole house reschingled next spring so all will be fine then.
We had 2 contractors before Martin and they both kept pushing our job out further and further. I reached out here, Martin got in contact with me same day, came out that night, and started the next morning. He did great work, VERY affordable, showed up every day, and accomplished our entire list of things we had requested within a week. I have already recommended him to family, and I would recommend him to you as well. We will be using him again for sure.
Jeremy Sparks has done drywall work for me - he's good and FAST! He did a raised bed garden box - he loves to work with the customer on the design ideas. For friends, he did some amazing landscaping work. So, ask him about whatever you need - not just the big remodeling or construction jobs.
replaced four doors and installed a handrail. Isela and her team did an excellent job, I would utilize them again. They were prompt in finishing the job.
I hired Ed's Handyman Services to assemble a treadmill for me. Not only were his prices VERY reasonable; but he arrived on time, was able to meet my request almost immediately and even took the large box treadmill packaging away to recycle! I will definitely be using this handyman service again. Thank you Ed!
Matt completed several tasks around the house, from mounting a TV above the fireplace to replacing and repairing wood trim in various rooms. He was focused and professional. I will hire him again.
Kevin has done some work for me several times including basement renovation and Painting and electrical. He was prompt and reliable, each job was done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him for any of you construction needs.
They completed stonework on a two-story fireplace for us. Such a professional hardworking crew, who even cleaned up afterwards. Couldn't be happier!
I strongly recommend Nowicki Construction to Thumbtack readers. Fred and Matt are top notch, low key, flexible and cost effective. Background: I bought my first brick home in mid-2015. I soon discovered that many bricks had spalled within the last two years. The local brick yard referred me to a contractor who gave me an estimate for replacing about 100 bricks. But in early October, he stopped responding, and I could not schedule the work. So, I joined Angie’s List and quickly found several good reviews of Nowicki Construction. I contacted Fred, and he came right away to estimate the job. Identifying the real problem: Very quickly, Fred determined that the spalling was just a symptom of an underlying issue with drainage and ground moisture, isolated to an addition built with less robust brick. He pointed out that a sidewalk against the north wall sloped just a bit toward the addition, and directed water to the brick. He observed that, overall, everywhere in the addition that I had a water problem, I had spalling. Solution: Fred suggested that before replacing any bricks, we address the water problems. I broke up the sidewalk and excavated along the perimeter of the addition. Then Fred and Matt pressure-washed the exposed foundation, and applied a moisture barrier. They parge-coated a few courses of badly damaged brick at the soil line where the sidewalk had been. I back-filled with 7 tons of pea gravel. Throughout, Fred and Matt scheduled their work to accommodate mine. Outcome: I was relieved to have solved the underlying problem before winter weather set in. I was able to add some sweat equity to keep cash costs down. I’ve seen no more evidence of spalling for two winters now. I hope to schedule Fred and Matt again to replace the remaining 50 spalled bricks, but that’s cosmetic. In the end, my total cash cost may be close to my original contractor’s estimate.
