We commonly facilitate full bathroom remodels, this begins at the level of a facelift with an appliance (bath/sink/toilet) replacement & extends to changing the layout, moving walls, adding/deleting windows, multiple output bath fixtures such as: rainwater systems, omnidirectional body sprayers, also steam systems & saunas. Bathroom remodels typically get scheduled 2 to 5 months out, as we are at the mercy of shipping times for custom shower pans & windows. Throughout our lives we seem to always be following behind someone else's careless mistakes & lack of care for quality & obviously no pride in what they do; lacking integrity because they think no one will find out. We have seen mind-boggling circumstances where a plumber might cut one or even a majority of a home’s critical structures in order to make their pipe meet slope requirements & either say nothing to the homeowner or leave them to fix the problem which would first involve the removal of the plumbing they just paid to have installed. This might be the shameless theft of global merchandiser H&K's slogan, but it is fitting: “in a world of compromise, some don't.” Our clients’ needs always come first and we take pleasure in making sure each job is completed to the highest standard. Clients not only receive a detailed explanation, walk through, & introduction to their new system or appliance, but a portfolio of the beginning state, end state, work performed, applicable warranties for service, fittings, & appliances will all be explained with the necessary implied maintenance schedule, contact numbers, & next steps in the event of an emergency. We can take care of routine and seasonal maintenance items at the same time: while winterizing your exterior plumbing / kitchens, knocking out a yearly dryer/ dryer vent cleaning, we can also clean the refrigeration condensers, test smoke / CO2 detectors, cleaning gutters, repair weather stripping, & so on... We typically charge by the project/outcome but often there are flat fees for certain types of appliances & tasks, service calls, that are rather straightforward. *** e.g. "customer complaint: 'electric dryer not heating,'" generates a $300 service call for an internal cleaning and element replacement. * There is a $70 parts allowance meaning that if it costs $150 you will have a remaining balance of $80 (which we will know shortly after you give us your model number), this does include necessary appliance-grade wiring (not what you find that you're local auto store), soldering, and fittings otherwise that may be required to restore function, apart from circuit failure. * In the event there is no signal from the control board to the element (heating element isn't the problem,) you will be notified and the $70 will be refunded while the element returns to stock. * The unit will be cleaned, reassembled, reinstalled, re-leveled and service warranteed. * You receive a folder that contains: ** concise information about the work performed ** applicable warranties for installed parts ** the respective dates of warranty expiry ** certification that they were installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications ** a certificate of the air flow meter for the appliance and ducting before and after the service ** digital temperature reading before and after service at exhaust ** certificate of smoke/CO² detector function (if you do not have a smoke detector in your laundry room a cost-effective model will be installed on your behalf at our expense unless you elect to pay for one with higher functionality/connectivity) ** and documentation of any other observations or concerns/modifications that came up during the course of the call. * We wrap up with a walk-through of everything that occurred and an explanation of everything in the packet while conducting a full test and demonstration of the appliance and ensuring the customer is aware of all its functions as well as their their end user maintenance expectations (cleaning the lint trap after each use, vacuuming the lint trap once per month, yearly duct inspection/cleaning). *** Otherwise we take issue with projects overflowing budget or time, it is the number one complaint we hear about other service providers & you shouldn't pay for their mistakes. Since we charge for project estimates (projects over 5K, anything under is typically flat rate and can be quoted over the phone), that will establish your expectation of the total cost with upfront pricing, if you take our estimate to another contractor, our feelings won't be hurt.
