I got several quotes but personally liked Andrew the best, and his quote was the best. Not only the price, but what he wanted to do. I felt like I got more with him than with other companies. I could tell that he looked at building ponds as an form of art. He presented me with a hard-bound book of other jobs he'd done before, and he was a small, locally owned business. I liked that a lot. He spent quite a bit of time talking to me about the process and wrote me a quote right there on the spot. And he stuck to that quote, even though they ran into an issue that caused them a whole lot more man hours than he expected.
His team was punctual and incredibly hard working. After he completed the pond, he's remained a source of help, coming over and cleaning out my pump, doing yearly cleanings, helping me with algae issues and when I thought I had a sick fish. His prices are good, and he cares. Like, he really cares and he stands behind his work. When the lights that he put in had a recall for a defect, he came over and replaced them for free.
We were so pleased that we had him build a second pond that flowed into the first one. Now we have a pond for the goldfish and a pond for the Koi. And it's beautiful, our own little zen garden, with a couple of stepping stones over to a firepit with built in benches. I showed him a picture of a firepit I saw on Pintrest and he was able to replicate it. It actually looks better than what I'd seen!
