Introduction: Saylor's End of the Trail Riding Stable, located in northern Indiana, at Koontz Lake, offers hourly horseback riding, pony parties, group outings, horseback camping trips, and carriage, sleigh and wagon services.
We welcome and enjoy hosting groups at the stables. With safety in mind, and to make the ride more enjoyable, we like to take 1-8 at a time.
For state park rides, we will haul the horses to one of the two local state parks and spend at least 4 hours in the park.
We offer camping trips with horseback riding. We enjoy camping and riding at many places, including most of the Indiana state parks. The state parks in northern Indiana that we enjoy include Potato Creek, Tippecanoe River and Salamonie River State Forest. In southern Indiana, we enjoy O'Bannon Woods State Park, Clark State Forest, and Brown County State Park. All are peaceful for wilderness riding, but southern Indian has more challenging trails and hills.
We offer a couple of option for pony rides. We can haul one or more ponies to the child's birthday party, family reunion, company picnic, or other gathering.
A second option is to host your party at the End of the Trail Stable. A wide, open field to run in, a fantasy fort, (swings, monkey bars and slide) to play on, basketball, volleyball, nature hike in the woods, a pony ride, a horse-drawn wagon ride, picnic tables under a tent, and can start a campfire for roasting hot dogs, marshmallow, etc.
Sleigh rides are always a favorite to enhances any winter time party or a "Christmas in July" party.
We offer carriage rides for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, proms, homecomings, or any special occasions.
