- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial step would be to schedule a strategy session with Joan Champagne. In this session, you will get all of your questions answered, all of your options will be discussed, all of the pros and cons of the those options will be explained to you, and Joan will give her legal opinion as to which option is best for you. The strategy session is at a $200 rate for the hour. After that, should you decide to retain Joan, she will quote you the retainer and her hourly rate for your particular matter. But as we stated, the first step is getting the strategy session scheduled.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Joan Champagne has over 20 years of legal experience in family law and litigation. She is a former domestic violence prosecutor and child support prosecutor. She is licensed attorney in the State of Indiana and active in the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association and many other civic and legal organizations.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire an attorney that is a good fit for you. Someone that you feel confident in and trust to tell you the hard truth.
