- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs that I perform for clients include custom website development and search engine optimization (SEO). Many times these things work hand-in-hand. I will develop a website from the ground up using SEO-friendly framework and then get the site ranking on the first page of Google right out the box. Each new website is developed with a backend where you can easily manage the site, but I also include free website maintenance and hosting on all new projects. Re-designing existing websites is also a very common service. Maybe your site is outdated, not converting traffic, or not ranking well in the search engines. Within just a few days, I can fix that with a brand new website that performs. Social media marketing, blogging, and mobile web development are also gaining popularity.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask for a portfolio and verify that the portfolio is truly the work of the designer. There are a lot of talented web developers and SEO people out there; I'm not the only one. But there's also many people who don't have much experience and will steal the work of others to promote it as their own. Ask for references. Check the site - ask for real SEO results that you can look up on your own computer - not just PDFs, screen shots, and empty promises.
