I highly recommend, Andy Kerr’s photography. We hired him for our wedding in October. I knew it would be a unique challenge as it was held at sunset outside and through the night. Andy has a keen eye for beauty in simple things. The shots he took of our children and seemingly “unseen” moments are priceless to us. We are very happy with the photos we have of our wedding. I appreciate that Andy made the effort to explore the venue the night before and sit down and talk over shots we were looking for. There are quite a few photos that can easily be used as meaningful works of art in our home. Andy conducted himself professionally and blended well with our guests. We felt at ease with his style and his subtle presence. When planning a wedding, one puts so much time in the details of this special day, I was so grateful to Andy as he captured many of these tiny details in his photos. We utilized a tandem bike throughout our wedding. Andy, thoughtfully brought one along to grab some pictures with that as well. You will walk away with unique photos that you will be sure to treasure.Nov 16, 2016
I've enjoyed working with Andy over the years in gathering photos for the Kosciusko County Visitor's Guide. His photos are excellent. Plus, he's a graphic designer himself, so he understands the what a layout needs, both in terms of artistry and technical requirements. He is prompt, courteous, and a good communicator. I highly recommend him.Oct 19, 2015

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Questions! Questions! I ask so many, some people find it rather amusing. Once I've determined that I can do what the customer is wanting, I dig in and try to understand the feel of the photo they're after. Once I get that, I go and research everything I can about the location, lighting, whether I need permits, permissions, and find out if there are any local restrictions. At that point, I probably have more questions! I try to make it so that, once we get to the actual shoot, all the surprises are good ones. I typically have the client check the photos on the back of the camera before we leave the shoot to make sure we've got what they want. I'll have lightly polished photos for review and selection a few days later, and typically deliver the final files about a week or so after that.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm constantly learning, and trying new things. Every shoot I go to, I ask, "What can I do that's different, what new thing can I try, to build on the skills I already know?" Whether it's working with off-camera lighting, or a Photoshop technique, or working on communication and body language to bring out the best in a client, I am constantly, actively digging into every source I can find.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I've always been a bit of an outsider, an observer, a people-watcher. The world fascinates me, and I've always enjoyed showing people the wonderful little quirks I've found. I've always been very technically-minded, so photography and graphic design have been a very natural fit for my interests and skills.
