FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All the time. I'm a member of IDEA Fitness Association, and with that I ready dozens & dozens of articles on the latest in fitness research. I also complete research on my own based on my client's needs. For example, my most recent new client is pre-menopausal, so I dove into the industry standards regarding exercise considerations for this special population.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
That undeniable voice in my head. After gaining my MBA, I had a secure, six-figure job at a world-renowned company. It was fabulous on many fronts. But I found myself leaving work early to teach classes at my gym, read nutrition books, & the like. Fitness & helping others is where I'm meant to be.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure it's a good fit. Every trainer has a different philosophy & personality. Not all clients & trainers are meant to be, and that's ok.
