Walter of Hi Solutions responded to my thumbtack query with a competitive bid. On calling he asked succinct questions and reinforced the estimate and committed to a scheduled arrival to fix a pinhole leak in piping at my hot water heater. He arrived on time, was efficient and very courteous and careful to explain what he did and provided me some useful information about the piping in our home. I had previously gotten other estimates which were as much as twice the amount for this simple repair or from companies that would not commit to an estimate without visiting and charging a fee just to look at it. (as high as $85.00). Ct Walter's service gets 5 stars without any reservation or downside..

Paul always does a great job for us. He is reasonably priced and he figures out ways for us to save money and install things ourselves. He's saved us $10,000 in repairs. My husband and I recommend him to everyone we know and they all are so thankful for him as well. We will always use him for our future projects. Our most recent project he completed was LED Light Fixtures in high ceilings at our church.

After meeting with four different general contractors, Mr. Marvin Guzman with Baiza Construction, Inc showed his best attitude to take part on a serious complete home improvement we had for our 1956 home. He didn't only provided a quick estimate, But time frame to complete and over all his price. My project was based on a full 2 bathrooms remodeling, plaster walls removal/replacement, insulation, plumbing, electrical, kitchen remodeling and about 2500 square foot of hardwood floor installation. My best recommendation to future hires and families of his great quality work. My contract worth 86k were put on the best hands.

I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.

Outstanding is all I have to say. I'm thrilled with the new fan install that Mark and Deivy did for us. A ceiling fan that was hung in our master bedroom 13 years ago fell off of the ceiling onto my foot while I was asleep a couple of weeks ago. This was due to it being mounted improperly. With a broken toe and unmounted fan, I went in search of fan installers and came across Mark. He is extremely thorough, very responsive and does quality work. He was able to stop by our condo one evening to scope out the situation first as this was not a cut and dry install and upon inspecting my fan pointed out that the paddle mounts were bent slightly - something I didn't see at first. He advised me to purchase a new fan and not re-hang a potential problem which made sense to me because the fan also needed some re-wiring. After I purchased a new fan, Mark and Deivy came back and installed it (properly!!) in addition to checking out another fan and a light fixture that was installed by the same person 13 years ago. No surprise the other fan was not mounted properly either. (Wood screws were used in the electric box mounts instead of machine screws, so he swapped them out.) The light fixture was just a big wobbly mess that needed to be rehung properly. I now have a beautiful new fan and peace of mind that I can go to sleep safely! Mark went above and beyond by also installing a safety cable on the new fan as added protection. I am one satisfied customer and will definitely call him in the future next time I need Mr. Fixit!!
