I started going to The Lazy Horse and Jessie for riding lessond over two years ago and have loved it. Not only has my horsemanship improved greatly, but I've had the fantastic opportunity to learn about many other aspects of animal care. The cost for services is very good (which is what pulled me in at first), and the location is a nice mix of out enough to be rural but in enough to not be impossible to get to.
My son has taken English style ridding lessons from Dana for two years. We started with no knowledge of horses or riding. Dana is so patient and kind with children (and their parents who may also know NOTHING about horses). Dana has definitely gone above and beyond to help my son become an excellent rider. She can sense when you need to be challenged and when a rider may need more time to master a skill. If you have experience riding or you are just starting .I highly recommended Dana!
Great way to start the weekend. My instructor Erin was very patient with my begging lesson.
Marlowe was an incredible instructor to my son Connor who is 15 years old. She was patient, kind, and more than willing to educate my child on everything he needed to know for his very first horseback riding lesson. We will definitely be going back to her again
I've been really impressed with Daphne's instruction and guidance. As an older rider, I've experienced a variety of trainers over my riding career and Daphne is by far the best I've worked with. By reinforcing a true hunter-style ride, rather than accepting rushing through jump courses, Daphne helps riders and horses work together and truly enjoy the experience. Don't worry if you don't have your own horse, their lesson horses are fantastic, well-loved, & well taken care of! You can't go wrong with Two Bit Training!!!
I have been to school for Equestrian studies at Kansas State University, have made the NCAA Equestrian Team and was one of the leading Horse Judging Team members. As a youth I was actively involved in 4H, my past knowledge gives me a great base of knowledge in training and teaching both horses and riders from the bottom up.
Kelly is a great person, a true horse lover and an excellent, patient teacher. She's great with kids and adult learners both and is able to adjust her style to the age and learning styles of different riders.

We contribute positively to the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being of our students. The key focus is to promote growth in confidence and abilities not only on horseback but also in life. I have over 40 years of experience. Our lessons are conducted at the conveniently located Misty River Equestrian Center, just minutes from the Metro Kansas City area. Call Kim for rates.
I teach people how to ride for several different disciplines, including English and Western, and I show and train the horses for the clients.
