- I'm a professional editor and proofreader, and also review and revise all kinds of content / manuscripts. For the last 17 years, I've worked on a wide range of literary, scholarly, academic, and professional manuscripts, as well as web content, assisting with drafting, revising, rewriting, editing and proofreading. I enjoy helping writers of all levels with the writing process —from brainstorming to publication and every stage in between. - I have extensive experience editing and proofreading fiction and non-fiction—including novels, essays and poetry—as well as revising scholarly papers, book-length manuscripts, technical manuals, class notes and course content. I've also helped numerous writers get their manuscripts ready for publication for the last 10 years. - Former college lecturer, I taught in the English Department at the University of Kansas for 13 years, where I also earned my doctorate in English. - A native speaker of Spanish, I have 20 years of translation experience to and from Spanish, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, scholarly and technical writing, with publications both in Spain and the US, as well as medical, legal, scientific, commercial, business, industrial, etc. - Member of ACES: The Society for Editing - A professional association of international scope for copy editors who work on every kind of content, including newspapers, magazines, websites, books, scholarly journals, and corporate communications.
