Introduction: - I'm a professional copy editor and content reviewer / reviser / rewriter. For the last 20+ years, I've worked with all types of scholarly, academic, and creative writers, assisting with brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing and proofreading. I enjoy helping writers of all levels with the writing process —from brainstorming to publication and every stage in between. -Former college lecturer, I taught in the English Department at the University of Kansas for 13 years, where I also earned my doctorate in English. - I have extensive experience editing and proofreading fiction and non-fiction—including novels, essays and poetry—as well as revising scholarly papers, book-length manuscripts, technical manuals, class notes and course content. I've also helped numerous writers get their manuscripts ready for publication for the last 10 years. - As a fellow writer who has gone through the many phases, stages and layers of writing more than a few times, I can help you with your process, review and offer comments, read your draft, edit and proofread, assist with revisions, provide fresh ways to look at your words and to approach your work, and finally, help you get ready for publishing. - A native speaker of Spanish, I have 20 years of translation experience to and from Spanish, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, scholarly and technical writing, with publications both in Spain and the US, as well as medical, legal, scientific, commercial, business, industrial, etc. - Member of ACES: The Society for Editing - A professional association of international scope for copy editors who work on every kind of content, including newspapers, magazines, websites, books, scholarly journals, and corporate communications.

Teresa did a great job! Her edits were very helpful. I was in time crunch and feeling anxious. I needed my cover letter and resume reviewed as quickly as possible and she was very accommodating. I’m applying for grad school and looking forward to her edits on my admissions statements.
