Introduction: Very Beginners:
I can help you buy your first guitar, tune it and get it ready to play. I can show you how to comfortably hold it and how to play some easy melodies and chords to get started. You will be having fun on day one and any day you play after that.

Intermediate Players:
You might know your open chords but have some big picture questions that need answered. Why does a G Chord sound good with some progressions and not others? How can I expand on a groove I made up, and turn it into a song? How can I use scales in jamming with friends? I can help with learning songs, playing solos, fingerpicking, changing keys, chord progressions, strum patterns, scales, tuning, alternate tunings, riffs and many other aspects of musicianship. _______________________________________________________________________
Playing in a Band:
I have led student bands for adults and kids age 11 plus. I can help you learn to jam with others and help you find or create jam sessions. You can learn to play along with bassists, drummers, guitarists, singers and violinists. You can learn to play and sing at the same time. It's fun!
If you want to make the most out of your first lesson, you can bring:
- Your instrument
- Tuner - any kind is fine
- Notebook

Lessons are taught in our home studio in Mission, KS. Our house is the ultimate music space. We have guitars, piano, basses, ukuleles, banjos, violins, violas, cellos, a Wurlitzer organ, clarinets, flutes and one partridge in a pear tree (not included).
Lessons are customized for you and the music you like. We will talk about who you listen to and who you admire, and I will make a plan on where we can start.
Lessons are typically 45 minutes, once a week for $30.
You can have whatever version of musical success you want. I am here to help make a plan and guide the way.
Playing music is the best thing in the world. I am so happy to share such a great thing with anyone. I love to see students develop their own musical style. People evolve into a combination of all their favorite players. Especially the ones who's songs they learn.
