Blue Skies Pet Care

Introduction: Born and raised in Newton, Blue Skies Pet Care's owner, Ashley Klein, has a small-town appreciation for personally committing to her work. She also realized early on that helping others is one of the best paths to happiness. She has combined these two ideas with one of her life's loves: animals. For years, Klein had been asked by friends and neighbors to help take care of pets. She sometimes simply volunteered. When a friend became a friend of a friend of a friend, she realized that there was a reason people trusted her with their companions. Her love of animals could be seen in every gesture. Blue Skies Pet Care was born. At that time, she had already started working toward a BA in Natural Sciences at Bethel College. Klein was able to combine all of her interests by beginning a pet services business. Loving animals is only one qualification for pet care, though, isn't it? Klein has never stopped with just loving animals. Having volunteered at Caring Hands Humane Society as a child, and now as an adult "matchmaker", her experience with animals is not simply personal. She has been through obedience classes and trained numerous dogs, including rescues during special seminars held through the local humane society. During college, Klein has studied animal behavior and nutrition, including canine and feline nutrition, canine behavior, and canine domestication. She also completed a veterinarian-taught First Aid/CPR class for cats and dogs in 2010.
