FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nope, I have my rate sheet on my website. I am one of the only DJ in the KC metro who does. We are confident that we provide the highest quality service at the most affordable price. We never inflate our rates based on the number of guests or the location of the wedding. Most DJs want to talk to you first before giving you a quote because, as I'm sure you've heard many times, say the word "wedding" and the price doubles. Often they want to find out first if it's at a country club or hotel vs. a backyard barbeque. Or if they think you have invited more people then you must have a bigger budget which means a bigger paycheck for the DJ. They want to give themselves every possible opportunity to inflate the price of your wedding.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly leanring new software and keeping up with the latest music trends as part of my radio and DJ career.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked in radio for over 16 years. In radio, you will get laid off from time to time when a station changes formats, or a new Program Director comes in. After being laid off in 2006, I took my severance package and invested in starting my own Mobile DJ company. I enjoy it so much, even when I am working for a radio station I continue to do weddings and parties. I have alot of free time working in radio, so they fit together very well.
