- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out in fine arts originally, and while I will still always love painting and illustration, ultimately I decided to switch to Graphic Design because of an education conflict, and a desire to make a career out of my passion. The decision to become a freelance designer came out of a desire for freedom, and variety in my work. I love getting new projects and new challenges to tackle.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
While I work on a wide variety of projects, the most common are print materials: brochures, flyers, advertisements etc. I also do quite a bit of work as a subcontractor, which tends to be more webdesign oriented.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for a designer who takes a personal interest in your business, and is interested in developing a long term partnership.
