FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we discuss the scope of the project and the type of art required for it, I will begin a series of thumbnail sketches to work out the composition and layout of the project. The process is similar between book illustrations and single illustrations. After the thumbnails are approved by the client, I go to work with making the refined work, checking in with the client on updates and progress. For book projects, this is when I would also work on the layout and graphic design aspect for the book files. When the client is happy with the finished work, I send all of the files over!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied art at Western Kentucky University for four years, earning a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. I have had practice in art my entire life.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved to create and design, and wanted to pursue that as a career. I've studied and practiced for years to develop my current skillset, and would love to keep growing!
