FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is not based on an hourly rate, it's based on the job. We're flexible, and willing to work with our clients, but you shouldn't expect us to be the cheapest bid you receive. If you're a first responder, veteran, or active duty or retired military, please ask us about a discount!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always insist on meeting new customers face to face, and I will never offer a bid on a project sight unseen. We typically meet with our clients and let them walk us through their project and their ideas. I may ask a client to show me around their home, or show me photos or designs they're fond of. That helps me get a sense of their personal style, and will help me give them a finished product they truly love. Depending on the size and scope of a project, a client and I may spend a few days or weeks, trading photos, drawings, product descriptions, and ideas via email or text until my client is confident they're going to get exactly what they want. Once that process is finished, I'll submit a formal estimate/bid via email, and provided the customer accepts, we'll schedule a start date.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love for the trade started when I was a kid. I started out building treehouses (and would someday love to get back to that). I got my first construction job at 16 from a builder working on my Parent's basement. Kyle's father owned his own roofing company, so Kyle has been doing exterior home finishing since he was 12.
