I am a native speaker with many years of experience teaching Spanish, ESL, TESOL, Portuguese, and Latin. I have taught in different schools, academies, colleges, and universities as a graduate student, lecturer, and faculty. I have diversified my experience in the last eight years by teaching in Pre-K to 12th grade schools. I have taught Span 1-6, AP, IB, Span for Heritage Speakers, Conversational Spanish, and many upper-division courses related to the cross between Language and Culture. In my younger years, I worked as an editor, proofreader, and translator. I am fully available. I have a flexible schedule and I can provide references!!! Double BA in Hispanic Philology and Literature. MA in Spanish and Second Language Acquisition. Rafa is a great Spanish teacher. During our lessons we typically talk the whole time about various subject matter. Rafa then sends homework and has his students work on grammar/vocabulary before class begins. This is a really great way to learn and very helpful for anyone who is trying to learn Spanish.

Rafa doesn't just speak Spanish. He can explain grammar, explain the differences between English and Spanish, explain differences between the Spanish language spoken in different countries, etc. I appreciate the explanations.

Raffa is an excellent Spanish tutor! He's taught me more in two months than I'd have learned two semesters of university language classes. Highly cost effective! He clearly has a great deal of experience and expertise in structuring curriculum, but he's also flexible and allows me to steer the lessons towards the vocabulary and grammar I am most interested in acquiring. I am also an educator and I have complete respect for his approach and commitment to teaching. I give him my highest recommendation.
