This was the first time using Derbytown Sounds and I couldn’t be happier! Rick and his team arrived early, were very professional and the song selection was perfect! If you’re in the market for a DJ, I would highly suggest Derbytown!

After speaking with the DJ, it was acknowledged that he had multiple years of experience, 12 years, I believe. On the day of the event, he shows up with his 22yr old son and told me that he was working the event instead. I was hopeful that his son learned from the best. His son was very nice and polite, but sat for the next 4 hours playing from a playlist. He didn’t interact with the crowd at all and I had request multiple times for him to play music that would get people up dancing. I had many people ask me what was wrong with the speakers because at least one of the speakers sounded busted. For a party of over 200 people and with the cost being $900, I was hoping for something more than someone that just sat there playing from a playlist.
