Introduction: EVERYthing I make is made from scratch, by me, to order, no added preservatives. I have developed a great base recipe for all of my cakes. I don't need a boxed mix to get me started, nor do I want a boxed mix. There are enough added preservatives and ingredients that we can't pronounce in our every day foods. We don't need them added to our special day foods. I refuse to give in and use cake mixes, store bought fondants and sugar doughs. I refuse to use packaged sugar cookie mixes for my cookies, and my royal icing will never be made with anything but real eggs, confectioner's sugar and top notch flavorings. Not only is every thing I bake, baked from scratch, but every fondant piece, every decoration, is hand crafted by me specifically for you. I'll use printed sugar papers if a customer requests them, but I prefer to hand you a one of a kind, original piece of art when you pick your cake or cookies from me. I hate to use the passionate to describe myself and my love of what I do because that's how everyone describes themselves when they talk about being a chef. I'm not passionate about my work, my work is who I am. I love the creativity my work offers. I'm an artist at heart; making cakes, designing cookies and creating desserts allows me to combine my joy of baking with my artistic side. When I was younger I used to draw all the time. I've painted on my windows for the holidays and I've taken art classes in school. I never sculpted, not until I started making cakes. Once I started, it snowballed and I find that I'm always looking at everyday things and thinking...."how could I turn that into a cake, or pain that on a cookie?"

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically when a customer contacts me, my first question is.... "How many guests are you have at your event?" This is the key question on which to build the entire project. From here we can calculate the budget, the time frame needed to complete the request, the size and scope of the project and most importantly, the cost.
