FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discuss goals, develop a plan, execute work to obtain goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ride competitively myself in hunters/jumpers and eventing. Compete locally and in recognized competitions. I consistently take lessons my self to further my knowledge and experience.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started riding in '96 at a local Hunter/Jumper farm- River Mountain Farm. From there I rode off and on for several years competing locally. Once I got to college, I competed for my IHSA team, winning every event I registered for. Since then, I've spent time training horses and building my resume working and riding with several accomplished trainers. I bring a base of classical dressage into my teaching, working on connection, balance, elasticity, confidence and solid foundation to my students. I use imagery when possible to get my students thinking actively in the lessons. I ask questions, to check understanding before proceeding. I feel like knowledge is key to successful riding.
