FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you purchase all of the equipment and I do strictly the labor work - I charge a flat hourly rate of $30/ hour. If I supply all of the equipment, I charge 125% on the items plus flat hourly rate of $30/hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I understand that people want to know they are having a professional perform the work in their home. After all, this is where you live and put money in to build equity. The state of Louisiana does not require that an electrician be licensed in order to perform work less than $10,000. You can check this out on the Louisiana State Board of Contractors website. Obtaining a NCCER certification through an employer is technically the only credentials - it qualifies an electrician as a company certified electrician under that company's electrical contractor licence. I am NCCER certified. However, since no job I have done personally has been over the value of $10,000, then I do not need to obtain the electrical contractor license. You, as the homeowner, can pull the any permits needed yourself. I have 22 years experience in the following fields of electrical work: residential, commercial, and industrial.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Installation of lighting, ceiling fans, fixtures, new rooms and additions. Rewiring of homes: both indoor and outdoor.
