FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked for a consulting company for 7 years and decided to venture out on my own. I knew that I would be able to better serve clients by giving them a more hands-on approach. I was the Director of Development and Franchising. I handled marketing/branding, business acquisition, turn-key restaurant & bar start-up, operations evaluations, bookkeeping, government contracting, business re-structure, procurement & logistics, project management and more!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions. At your first meeting, have a list of questions regarding their services and what you are looking for in a consultant. Open communication is key. A consultant handles delicate information, you need to feel comfortable with your consultant.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Don't let the word 'consulting' scare you! I suggest at least contacting the company and obtaining information. Many people shy away from consultants due to the idea that they will not be able to afford it. Consultants typically cover the payment for their services in saving their clients money and/or developing new business.
