FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour and it varies slightly between weekday and weekend pricing. I also charge fees if the location of the shoot is further than 20 miles away. All shoots require a 50% deposit to book the date. Please feel free to reach out with your budget. I like to work with my clients to come up with a package and pricing that works for both parties.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing that will happen once the client expresses interest in working with me, Katie Sikora Photography, is that I will reach out to schedule a phone consultation to go over the logistical details of the event (time, date, location) as well as the specific needs of the client with regards to the imagery. At the end of that consultation, I will send a contract for the client to fill out, sign, and send back to me as well as an invoice for the deposit (50% of the total bill). Once I receive the signed contract and the deposit, the date will officially be booked. Yay! As the date of the shoot nears, I will reach out to schedule a second phone consultation to confirm the logistical details of the event as well as the run of the shoot. On the day of the shoot, the remainder of the payment (50%) will be due. Following the shoot, I edit the photos and send them to the client within two weeks for weddings and one week for all other shoots. In terms of my editing process, I go through each photo and remove the "bad" (blurry, unfocused, unflattering) images and the remaining photos receive minor edits and are sent digitally to the client. If you are interested in viewing packages that include physical prints, framed prints, or photo albums, just let me know!
