FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge by the Form.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing we do with a new customer is to have them read and sign the required IRS Form 7216 Disclosure which basically authorizes the use of a customer's personal information for the preparation of their tax return. Then we have a simple two page intake form to gather basic demographic information including name, address, dob, cellphone, email, and dependent information. Once we have this information we can begin the interview process to prepare the return and will need any income documents like w2's, 1099's, social security benefit statement, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 27 years experience as a Tax Preparer and currently I'm registered with the IRS as an Unenrolled Preparer with an Annual Filing Season Participant - Record of Completion for the current year. This voluntary program recognizes the efforts of return preparers who are generally not attorneys, certified public accountants, or enrolled agents. The IRS issues an Annual Filing Season Program Record of Completion to return preparers who obtain a certain number of continuing education hours in preparation for a specific tax year.
