Introduction: SEMI-PRIVATE GOLF INSTRUCTION. I'm the Head Golf Professional at the Quail Ridge Country Club in Acton,Ma. I focus my instruction for beginning and novice groups of 2-5 players. The most popular program is my "Learn to Golf" program which is a series of 5 lessons over a 4-5 week period that covers all the key fundamentals of grip,weight shift ,the full swing with irons and woods plus the finesse shots: putting,chipping and bunker play on and around the green.

My boyfriend and I are both beginners and it was first time challenge for us to play golf. John is really nice & funny guy and we had fun time during lessons. I really enjoyed my series of lessons with John. He made me feel comfortable right away, and was very patient and helpful. As a beginner, I was nervous and hesitant about learning golf, but he made me really excited to keep playing and learning. I would highly recommend!

When I first arrived at the golf course, I was curious where the lessons would be since I didn’t see a driving range. It turns out that the lessons were held in a small area where restricted flight balls were used instead of real golf balls. I practiced by taking abbreviated half-swings and hitting these balls which provided a lot of good feedback to me. I am still working to translate this feedback to my full swing. John was very professional and helpful with his comments!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Discounts for the Learn to Golf program and additional discounts for Quail Ridge Country Club members
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask them what they want to work on, what is their typical "bad" shot flight. I then have them hit a few shots with a 7 iron to loosen up. At this point I watch them hit 2-3 shots and look for the most serious flaw to address first.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained and was certified to teach by Jimmy Ballard, one of the top 50 golf instructors in the world. It was a 6 month program-the last week was hands on training with Jimmy at his Florida location.
