My 12-year-old daughter has been studying guitar with Dave for about three years, and after a couple of years seeing her progress, I started taking lessons with him too. Dave is great at accommodating short-term goals (like wanting to learn a particular song or style) within a broader plan for covering the bases of guitar mastery. The context he brings to the music is fantastic: my daughter loves being able to place what she's learning in music history, I like understanding the theory behind what we're doing, and with his background and experience Dave is able to cater to both. Top teacher all around.

Our 9 year old son thoroughly enjoys his guitar lessons with Dave. Dave lets him choose the type of music he can learn and they really work well together. We have seen great progress!

Dave teaches songs you want to learn, while still teaching you how to play with excellent technique and how to have fun doing it. Because of him, playing guitar is my favorite thing in the world. I have learned more than I could've possibly imagined learning with any other teacher. On top of all that, Dave's just a great guy! I love having him as my teacher.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Clients will be billed monthly @ $50 per 45 minute lesson.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I meet a new student I like to get an understanding of what their guitar playing goals are and what styles of music interest them. Some students simple want to be able to play some songs they love while others want to develop a deep understanding of music theory and how it relates to the guitar. I can accommodate either of these goals and anything else in between.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I have been a performing musician and music educator for 20+ years.
