Introduction: I have had great success for many years teaching various singers of all ages. They have all experienced significant growth in terms of developing and maintaining a solid vocal technique and they have been able to explore and sing exciting, varied repertoire! I began my own singing career as a 10 year old Boy Soprano touring the United States in Gian Carlo Menotti's Christmas opera, "Amahl & the Night Visitors"! With this early professional experience in the performing arts I have become a specialist working with very young singers. I am also very effective working with older singers as they try to find, develop and maintain their vocal instrument! I am the perfect teacher to help them learn, study and sing their ideal songs, be it classical, opera arias, musical theater, Irish and religious repertoire! MY CAREER BIOGRAPHY A remarkable artist blessed with an extraordinary vocal instrument, Countertenor Thomas Mark Fallon’s repertoire encompasses five centuries of music, from Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo to creating the role of Hegai in the world premiere of Weisgall’s Esther for his New Your City Opera debut. Recent Career highlights include his Carnegie Hall debut in a "Salute to the Irish" program accompanied by The New York Pops Orchestra under the late Maestro Skitch Henderson, along with vocal recitals in Key West, Tampa, Louisville and Detroit. Oratorio performances of Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria and both Bach’s and Pergolesi’s Magnificat have taken him to Italy, Portugal, Spain and South Africa. This past season, he appeared in concerts throughout Spain and appeared as a guest artist on Austrian and Spanish television, accompanied by the Bratislava National Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Principality of Andorra. His PBS television debut, entitled "Music of the Isles' was broadcast nationally in 2003. Mr Fallon first attained international celebrity through his participation in major international vocal competitions, where he was awarded one of the top prizes or a special prize created especially to honor his unique artistry: the first countertenor winner in the 1992 Luciano Pavarotti Competition in Philadelphia, the 1994 Alfredo Kraus Competition in the Canary Islands, and the 1995 Maria Callas Competition in Athens, Greece. Additional notable prizes, followed by performance contracts, have been secured in Toulouse, France, and both Barcelona and Pamplona, Spain. Under the baton of Maestro Michel Plasson and accompanied by the Orchestra National du Toulouse, Thomas made his European debut in Carmina Burana in numerous performances given in Toulouse, Carcassonne and Marseille, France. Subsequent European performances have taken him to Verona, Italy, singing the role of Andronico in Vivaldi’s Tamerlano, and to the Teatro Reggio in Turin singing the role of King Oberon in Benjamin Britten’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Recent national appearances have included the role of Icilio in the American premiere of Scarlatti’s La Caduta de Decemviri with Opera Antica in Palm Beach, an area concert with the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, David in Handel’s Saul with the West Virginia Symphony, the Bach Saint Matthew Passion at Trinity Church in New York City, guest artist with the Little Orchestra Society in an all Vivaldi program at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and singing Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro with the Knoxville Opera Company, the first known male to have sung this "trouser role". Mr. Fallon has made the role of Prince Orlofsky in Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus an operatic specialty, having achieved critical acclaim through notable past performances with the West Virginia Symphony and the opera companies of Maine Grand Opera, Grand Rapids, Toledo, Opera of the Highlands, New Rochelle Opera and Baden, Austria. A native of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Mr. Fallon began his professional career as a boy soprano, touring nationally with original cast members as Amahl in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. Following private vocal lessons begun at age ten, he continued his studies at the New England Conservatory of Music and the University of Notre Dame, where he received with distinction both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The youngest recipient of the F. Lammot Belin Arts Scholarship, he has also received awards, scholarships, and performance grants from the Liederkranz, Puccini, Rosa Ponselle, United Nations, and William Sullivan Music Foundations. In 2005, he auditioned and was unanimously selected to appear as a Rostered Artist by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and has been an Artist in Residence for school districts and cultural organizations throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania over the past sixteen years, receiving the NEIU 2006 "Artist of the Year" 2006 award for his acclaimed residencies. These residences have allowed him to as a teaching artist to teach vocal technique, repertoire and direct all inclusive performing arts concerts for over 10,000 elementary and secondary students. He has been chosen for inclusion in the National Register’s "Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals" while remaining an active member of AGMA, NPM and their DMMD division. In 2011 Mr. Fallon was chosen as a “Fellow of the Arts” at the St. Botolph Club of Boston and appeared as guest vocal artist with the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, singing bravura operatic arias. This was followed by his debut at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, where he presented a unique concert, “A Countertenor Christmas” to great acclaim. In December of 2012, he was featured guest artist in the European capital city of Tirana in a nationally televised concert with full orchestra organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Albania’s independence from the Ottoman Empire. A sought after and acclaimed private vocal teacher and coach Mr. Fallon has a very active private vocal studio with students coming from all over New England to work on vocal technique, varied vocal repertoire and the joy of singing!. I am passionate about my own vocal performances and my teaching. It is a joy to work with my private vocal students and guide their growth and progress! Every student always walks away from their voice lesson with reinforced technique, new interpretive skills and a passion to bring joy to others and themselves through their singing!

I have been taking vocal lessons from Mr. Fallon since 2019, and it was a fantastic journey. I came in as a complete adult beginner. Mr. Fallon was very patient and worked with me to improve my vocal range, strength, and reading music notes. I see visible improvement after only a few sessions with him. Mr. Fallon is an exceptional teacher; he tailors his teaching to what best works for the student and gauges the singer's strengths and weaknesses. He has definitely helped me not only to broaden my vocal range and develop a rich sound but also to develop deep feelings for music. I am super happy with what I have learned and continue to learn. Mr. Fallon is very motivational and sparkles with encouraging happy energy throughout the lesson. It's been a real gift as I really like to sing and have enjoyed each lesson. I highly recommend him.

Fallon Vocal Studios has far exceeded our expectations. Our child's range has increased dramatically, as he offers exercises as well has built her portfolio in terms of types and ranges of music. He is a Vocal Educator. He is able to demonstrate what he teaches and this is crucial in progress. She has been able to take leadership roles in musicals nationally. He has been an exceptional problem solver and delivers criticism in a professional, helpful manner which has allowed her to soar. His operatic background has been very helpful with stance and posture. She has been able to fine-tune so much of her performance each week. Each lesson is done at his grand piano as he is able to align her voice with a musical instrument. Wonderful instruction, as each lesson is filled with musical education as well as strengthening exercises. True professional, missing all the bells and whistles and staying strong to align voices to music, and strengthen the voice with varied modes of singing. Amazing her vocal range has grown exponentially. A diamond in the rough is highly recommended, especially for long-term growth.

Mark is a great teacher. I am an experienced mature classically trained singer and had a number of very good teachers when I was younger but Mark is right up at the top. I only recently started singing again after a long hiatus from singing for career and family. Mark has done wonders in helping me revive my voice. He is extremely knowledgeable, clear in his instruction and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him. It is also a great and unusual pleasure to have a studio pianist to work with.
