FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For 11 years, Kelly worked with clients in a decidedly different industry - advertising. She held account management positions at traditional and digital marketing agencies, developing and executing innovative social, mobile and relationship marketing programs for Dunkin' Donuts, Campbell Soup Company, AT&T, JP Morgan Chase, National Hockey League, Baskin-Robbins and others. Although she loved working in a creative business, after the birth of her son, Kelly knew she could not return to stressful agency life. But she wasn't ready to 'retire' just yet, either. A family member provided unexpected inspiration for a new career. She moved into a beautiful new home, but was delaying furnishing and decorating until her children were older. A new mom herself, Kelly could relate, and was sure that many other families did, too. When she asked Kelly if she ever considered pursuing interior design, the idea for Kelly Rogers Interiors was born. A certified architectural color consultant, and candidate for a certificate in Residential Interiors at the Boston Architectural College, Kelly is the author of the design blog Interiors for Families. She is a graduate of Williams College, where she earned her BA in art history and American studies.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Though my work is highly individualized and no two jobs are alike, following are the types of projects I am seeking and doing at this point in time: 1) Single room full-service redecoration (space planning, furnishings, color, window treatments, accessories) 2) Design Consultation - a 1-2 hour session in your home where I provide specific suggestions on your areas of focus, and deliver a personalized, written decorating plan as a follow up 3) Color Consultation - typically, selecting paint colors and/or wall coverings for your home. This service also takes 1-2 hours, depending on the size of your home, and is completed on site so you see how the colors will work in each space, and in relation to one another. I also offer exterior color consultations 4) "Design Kickstart" appeals to clients who enjoy the process of decorating their own home, but would like a bit more detailed and customized guidance than what can be provided in a brief consultation. This service includes color scheme development, space planning, concept development and digital mood boards, allowing you to focus your efforts, and helping you avoid costly decorating mistakes
