In short, Jean delivers on her promises. Our workout sessions are indeed making me lose weight, gain strength and boost my stamina. I trained with Jean for three months, she is super helpful and responsible while helping me with my weight training goal. She provided not just understandable instructions even for a beginner like me, she also helped me in any step during the process with many diet plans and most important--mental support. I love the optimism and energy she has all the time! We trained at the apartment's gym, Jean is always punctual even comes earlier than our appointments. She prepared everything we need and adjust the training plan based on equipment. This is super helpful when I was training alone, I can still follow her routines. I tried many ways of losing weight, Jean helped me overcome the platform and train more systematically. Many progresses are shown after two months, and I was not STARVELING! I was always a very active child, teenager and young adult. Since I moved to the US to start my medical residency 2.5 years ago, I progressively noticed that my lifestyle dramatically changed. I started spending many more hours sitting and typing in front of a computer, I stopped cooking as often I used to and gained some weight. The accompanying metal exhaustion and long hours at work further prevented me from going out for a walk, play my favorite sports or going to the gym. My knees started hurting and I developed muscle aches. I generally felt unwell, I felt not myself, I felt depressed. This summer I took the decision to change that. I needed to find my old energy, my old self. I started looking for a personal trainer/lifestyle coach as I knew that I needed an experienced individual to help me start exercising without injuring myself and regain my life-balance. And I found Jean - randomly through thumbtack. I was very anxious in the beginning, but since we started working together, it felt great. We set personal goals, thoroughly discussed how to achieve them, and created a whole new schedule (including exercise and diet). Jean always listened very carefully my concerns and did above and beyond to make things work. Three plus months after I feel a whole different person, I have adopted a new routine, and I have incorporated exercise to my everyday life (no more excuses about my busy hospital schedule). I am able to complete very demanding cardio and weightlifting workouts (which I never thought I would). FYI: I had always been hesitant in the past about weightlifting as I thought it might injure my back or cause worsening muscle aches, but working with Jean completely changed my mind. I've worked with Jean for about 6 months, as both a Health & Wellness Coach and as a Personal Trainer. Our goal was to move me towards a sustainable overall healthy lifestyle, making weight and strength progress along the way. Coaching has largely focused around eating, addressing my long-held emotional food challenges. Training has largely focused around a balanced approach to cardio and strength training. In all, Jean has supported me in getting to a much better place. I'm happy to give Jean all the credit for the Goldilocks approach I now have towards food and exercise - in both, I'm striving for just the right amount - not too much, not too little - with the goal to maintain it forever, and to maintain and improve overall health along the way. I've tried to get here many other ways, over a long period of time, but I have achieved more with Jean in 6 months than with any prior person or program. Why? Jean is well trained, wise beyond her years (she's like half my age!), and takes a balanced, realistic approach to progress, focusing on long-term sustainability rather than short-term unsustainable gains. She's fun to work with, is always smiling, and is a compassionate coach who's willing to share her own prior and ongoing challenges, and successes, in some of these same areas. My journey isn't over, it probably never will be, but Jean's skills, and the strategies she's provided me, have moved me faster and further towards my goals that I ever thought possible!Jun 16, 2020

My fitness/nutrition journey has been a roller coaster with a lot of ups and downs. During the pandemic I decided to commit to adapting to a better lifestyle, but I was struggling with what the best plan for my personal journey was. When my boyfriend proposed to me I had that little extra push that I needed to seek out help with this journey, as I want to look my best for my wedding day. Working with Jean has been the best decision I’ve made. She has catered a plan that is made just for me and that is actually attainable! The best part is that there are no restrictions, just guidelines, which makes everything seem more possible. Since starting with Jean I can feel a change in myself; I have more energy, I am more organized, and I can physically see changes in my body. One of the biggest challenges that I have been able to overcome is learning that I don’t have to be perfect at everything to succeed, I just have to commit to myself. Jean has helped me re-frame what a healthy lifestyle looks like and I am so thankful for this. She has held me accountable and has taught me so much in how to take care of myself.
